What does defibrillator
training cost?

DST’s standard onsite course is priced per group. Here is what the published price includes and how to plan your enquiry.

One price for a group of up to 15.

The standard two-hour CPR, AED and BLS session is £399 + VAT (£478.80 including VAT). Certificates and individual AED/BLS booklets are included. You can book without already owning a defibrillator.

The session price does not fall when fewer people attend. These figures show how the same group price divides between different numbers of delegates; they are not individual tickets.

Count sessions at each location.

Start with the number of people who can attend together at each venue. For example, 12 people at one venue can fit within one standard group. Two separate venues with 6 people at each need their own delivery arrangements, even though the total is also 12.

For 16 to 30 people at one site, two standard groups are a useful planning starting point. Two sessions at the published standalone rate give an indicative total of £798 + VAT (£957.60 including VAT). Timing, staffing cover, availability and the final quotation still need agreement.

For a larger programme, share every venue and headcount through the multi-site training enquiry. Avoid treating an indicative calculation as a confirmed booking.

Buying an AED at the same time?

DST also publishes a training price of £299 + VAT (£358.80 including VAT) when purchased with a defibrillator. The AED is priced separately. Ask the team to confirm which purchase qualifies and the complete package price.

You can view DST’s published training offer and defibrillators and packages on the main company website.

Compare the complete arrangements.

When comparing quotations, check the session length, maximum group size, practical learning, included materials and the evidence provided afterwards. Tell the provider about specialist content or qualification requirements before comparing prices.

  • Give the training address and any access arrangements.
  • List the number of attendees at each site and across shifts.
  • State your required course content and certificates.
  • Include preferred dates and how flexible you can be.
  • Confirm the full price, VAT and booking terms before accepting.
