CPR & AED training
for sports clubs.

Arrange practical CPR and AED learning for coaches, volunteers, committee members and community groups.

Plan for your setting

Start with the people
and the responsibilities.

Your club or community venue may rely on volunteers who are present at different times. A group session creates space to learn together and talk through practical arrangements, such as how equipment is accessed and who meets the emergency services.

Your volunteers

Think about coaches, committee members, event staff and other people regularly at the venue.

Your location

Discuss entrances, access codes, pitches, halls and the route from your AED to activity areas.

Your schedule

Choose a date that allows your group to attend together, away from other responsibilities.

Your participants

If your organisation works with children, explain the age groups and any child-specific training requirements.

What to include in your enquiry.

  • Club or venue location and preferred date
  • Approximate number of coaches, volunteers or staff
  • Whether you have an AED and how it is accessed
  • Any governing-body, qualification or child-specific requirements
This course focuses on CPR, AED use and basic life support. It is not a comprehensive sports injury or paediatric first aid qualification. Tell us about any governing-body requirements before booking.

Several locations or groups?

List each location and the number of people who need training. If your teams have different responsibilities, note the requirements for each group so these can be reflected in the discussion.

Your training questions.

Do volunteers need previous training?
No previous experience is needed for the core course. Coaches, committee members and volunteers can enquire together, with any role-specific requirements stated clearly.
What if our club works with children?
Include the relevant age groups and any governing-body or paediatric requirements. These must be checked against the agreed course scope.
Can we discuss our club’s existing defibrillator?
Yes. Send its make and model and explain where it is kept. Equipment familiarisation and any access arrangements can then be discussed before the session.
Read our course selection guide and group training cost guide, then send the requirements for your team.
